About the Exhibition
Outdoor Slide Theater projects animated slides on an outside wall screen of 50’ x 50’ as audiences watch from sidewalks, the street, lofts, rooftops and galleries.
The theater is directed by Red Spot (aka J. Allen Daugherty, b.1937) and functions as an alternate space for all artists to show their work, as well as providing a street theater (free of charge) for audiences comprising factory and office workers, students, artists, and gallery- and museum-goers.
The slide theater operates on a regular schedule from April to December. During these months three group shows are organized (spring, late summer, and fall).
