Do you have slide archives of past projects that I can go through? Can I have materials sent to me from your archives?
The Public Art Fund does not have a library or archives that are open for public perusal. We are happy to send information on a specific project or help locate information about Public Art Fund projects in general. We also lend visual materials on occasion, provided they are returned in good condition and in a timely fashion, always properly credited when reproduced, and that pick-up and return are pre-arranged. To request materials on a specific project, please e-mail archives@publicartfund.org with a formal loan request that includes your name and contact information. Please note: we are not able to loan out materials on ALL of our projects due to limited staff resources.
How can I contribute to the Public Art Fund, and what are its advantages?
Public Art Fund is happy to recieve donations of all sizes. By contributing $50 or more, you will recieve our semi-annual magazine, announcements of our projects and programs, and discounted tickets to our Public Art Fund Talks lecture series held twice a year. If you are interested in making a generous contribution, please email info@publicartfund.org for more information or click on donate.
When/what are the Public Art Fund Talks?
Public Art Fund Talks is a lecture series that is held in the fall and spring, and features discussions led by contemporary artists, curators, and critics. The program is organized in collaboration with The Vera List Center for Art and Politics at the New School and lectures take place at the School's Tishman Auditorium (66 West 12th Street) and begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission, and free to students with a valid student ID. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance on our website, or by emailing paftalks@publicartfund.org.
I am an artist, and have a public project in mind. How can the
Public Art Fund help me? Do you give grants? Do you accept submissions?
The Public Art Fund is not a grant-giving organization and does not sponsor exhibitions or projects that are not organized or initiated by the Public Art Fund itself. We do have an annual open call for New York State-based artists called In
the Public Realm.
I am trying to contact a specific artist that the Public Art
Fund worked with/is working with. How may I get in touch with him/her
now?
We suggest you contact the gallery that represents the artist
you are interested in.
